Cuz in Adventure 1: Boat Racing Festival

On sunday 8th October 2006, my cuz, Martha, and her Fiance, Chris arrived Wattay International Airport, Vientiane Capital, Lao PDR. This was the first time that they both came to Laos (Lao PDR) together. Also, this day was the last day of Lao Boat Racing Festival. We all went to Mekong River Bank to see "Inde Record" Concert sponsored by "Tango - Millicom company (a Telephone company)". Our another cuz, Toulou was one of the M.C's. It was a fun concert. It's unbelieveable that Toulou was so professional and funny. He is so popular. He is also a popular DJ in Vientiane Capital. His stage name is "DJ Piggy".
There were many bands and singers performed that day but the band I was waiting for is "CELL". CELL is a very popular, very good band. CELL was invited by Thailand to perform concerts in Thailand. CELL songs were played in clubbings in Thailand.

Break 1: Life back in Vientiane

I've been back to Vientiane Capital for 2 days. Today is Wednesday 4th October 2006. My friend, Aloun told me that todayBig Brother Jai wanted to meet us at Sticky Finger (a pub owned by Aussies Couple. Today, all cocktails are half-priced. The main reason is BB Jai wants us to meet his girlfriend from USA.
Apart from that, I am still waiting for my cousin and her fiance to arrive Laos. So that, we have "Cuz in Adventure" to VangVieng, currently one of the best destinations of tourists. I just cannot wait for that day to come. My cousin and her fiance will arrive Vientiane airport on Sunday 8th October 2006. Then we will start our adventure on Monday.
Just wait for more to come : D hahahaha

Tennis 1: Hingis and Other tennis girls

I like tennis and I can play it but I am not good at it. Everytime that I am on 2 week break from work, I will play tennis with my friends (i.e. Aloun, Tian, Big Brother Jai, & Big Brother Vong).

(Hingis at Australian Open' 06)

My tennis hero is Martina Hingis. (Courtesy of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martina_Hingis) In January 1997, she became the youngest Gland Slam Singles winner in the 20th century by winning the Australian Open at age 16 years and 3 months. In March 1997, she became youngest ever player to attain the World No. 1 ranking. She retired in year 2002 due to angle problem. Before retiring, she was World No. 1 for 209 non-consecutive weeks (Ranked #4 longest world #1 player since 1975 - #1 Steffi Graf 377 weeks, #2 Martina Navratilova 331 weeks, #3 Chris Evert 262 weeks, #4 Hingis, and #5 Monica Seles). She had 40 WTA titles. She still holds a lot of records please browse the website posted above for more information.

For year 2006, Hingis came back to Tennis Circuit because she missed it so much. According to www.hingis.org, In January 2006 , she was ranked No. 349; in May 2006 she was all the way up to No. 25. As it stands now, Hingis is ranked No. 8 (by the week started by 25th September 2006) on the WTA Tour and sixth in the standings for the year-end championships. She absolutely will be in top 5 in near future.

Hingis's playing style is versatile but lack of power. I really believe in her that she will improve her power, strength, and stamina. One may say "Hingis is old". For me, she is still young because she just turned 26 y.o yesterday (30th September 2006). We can look at Lindsay Davenport currently 29 y.o or about to be 30 y.o soon. Davenport is a powerful hitter and still strong. Time will tell that Hingis can do it or not.
The female tennis player that impresses me a lot is "Justine Henin-Hardenne " 24 y.o. currently World #3 (former world # 1). She's a small and slim person, and her height is 1.68 meters but she's very powerful hitter and she runs quickly. see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justine_Henin-Hardenne
At present, I am into Female Tennis Circuit (WTA - Women Tennis Association - www.wtatour.com). The main reason is they nowadays become powerful and the second reason is they are young and pretty, especially those from Russia and Czech. :D haha !!!
