Jason Lee
On saturday 12/05/2007, Jason called me up to chill out with him. I met up with him at Khob Chai Der Restaurant & Bar. Then, we went to Jazzy Bricks to have cocktails. After that, we went Nana Pub to have beers and then to Don Chan Palace to have more beers.
Jason will spend time in Vientiane for a week because he has finished his project in Laos. So he will need to go back to Perth. Before doing this, he will spend another week in Thailand after Laos.
On sunday 13/05/2007, I called him up to hang out because on the next day, I will go back to work and I will not see him for a long time perhaps not for this year. We decided to meet up at Victory Gate. When I arrived at Victory Gate, I saw him talking to 2 Asian girls. At the very first moment I saw that, I thought was that the girls he might know from the clubbing last night?
But in fact, the girls just arrived Vientiane this morning. They are Thai girls from KPMG Thailand. KPMG is one of the world largest accountancy firms. They came to Laos to audit few banks because KPMG Laos does not have specialists in auditing banks.
In their team, there are about 8-9 people led by an English man, called Richie or Richard. The 2 girls' names are Jha and Da. Jha and Da came a week later than the other team members because they were busy with some work in Thailand. So, Jha and Da wanted us to guide them around town. Jason and I are gentlemen enough so we took them around town. We took them to Vietnamese Restaurant to have "Nam - Neung", "Spring rolls", and so on. Then, we went to Sisaket Temple. Then we went to play bowling at Lao-ITECC Center. Jha and Da are very good at bowling. Jason was a loser for 2 games straight. Jason had to treat us dinner.
We had dinner at a chinese dumpling restaurant in town. Their boss, Richard, and a friend, Jib, joined us the dinner. We had a great time. They all are nice people. After dinner, we decided to go to Sticky Fingers to have cocktails. While we were walking to Sticky Fingers, Jib told me that they (Richard and Jib) were worried about Jha and Da because it was their first time in Laos and they met 2 strangers (Jason and me). I understood that they have right to think that we might be a bad people. But, then every thing turned out fine. I know few people in KPMG Laos such as Grace from Myanmar, Mimi from Laos, & Nana from Laos. We pretty much know the same people. This is to prove we are not such a bad guys.
After Sticky Fingers, the KMPG Thailand people left because they had to get up early for Audit work project. It was time for me to say goodbye to Jason too because I had to take a flight on the next day. I felt sad that Jason and I would not see each other again soon. He's like a brother to me. He is a nice, kind, and humble person.
For some instances, I felt bad because I made Jason felt that I was dragged here and there by him. In fact, I am kind of a person who can do as best as I can to satisfy friends. I am sad that I made Jason felt a bit unhappy. Jason is like my brother to me. I really want to tell Jason that "he can make a decision and tell me what he wants. I'll do it". Also, I want to tell him that "If I don't say anything, it means I am happy with that. Otherwise, I'll say it out".
